PLAY NOW! Casino & Bingo 24 Hour Membership Wait is Removed.
From Saturday, October 1st 2005, casino and bingo players will no longer have to wait for 24 hours before they can become a member of a licensed bingo club or casino thanks to an amendment to the existing gaming legislation which comes into effect that day.
For casinos provided you are aged18 or over, all you will have to do is produce current proof of your identity - a passport, drivers licence or credit card plus a utility bill to become a member, and play, straight away. For bingo proof of age may be required."Casinos and bingo clubs have suffered from misconceptions. Now people will be able to see immediately the fun and vibrant leisure destinations that they are without the 24 hour wait - something you don't have to do to play on the lottery, buy a scratch card or bet on a horse. It's really put us on a level playing field with others in our sector," says Richard Sowerby, group sales and marketing director at Gala Group.
Gala's Casinos has 28 casinos and 166 bingo clubs in the UK and have invested substantial amounts into making the venues leisure destinations. Apart from gaming and bingo, they have restaurants and bars, occasional live entertainment and are important venues to meet or make new friends.
