Gala Coral Group Acquires 44 Shops From Reuben Page Ltd
Gala Coral Group, Europe's largest integrated gaming company, announces the acquisition of Reuben Page Ltd, consisting of forty four betting shop outlets.
The licensed-betting offices (LBOs) are spread throughout the North East and East Yorkshire including shops in Durham, Sunderland, Gateshead, Leeds and York.
This acquisition will take Coral up to a new high of 1,550 outlets. Since acquiring Coral in October 2005, Gala Coral Group has increased the size of its betting shop estate from 1260 shops to 1550, an increase of over 20%.
Neil Goulden, chief executive of Gala Coral, today said: "This is another terrific acquisition for the Gala Coral Group and we remain totally committed to the expansion of the Coral retail estate having added close to 300 betting shops in the sixteen months of ownership. I would also like to welcome our new colleagues into the Gala Coral Group."
Under the terms of the deal, the vendors, David Archer and Austin Carney, will retain a head office and sixteen betting shops and will trade under the name Pagebet Ltd.

Today's announcement further demonstrates Gala Coral Group's continued growth across all its divisions. Recent betting shop acquisitions include 23 betting shop outlets from C L Jennings Ltd, 24 outlets from Joe Jennings Ltd and 30 outlets from Paul Dean Ltd.
