GamCare accreditation rewards the Gala Coral Group’s responsible gambling ethos
The Gala Coral Group is pleased to announce that it is first operator in the industry to have all of its gaming businesses (terrestrial and online), namely, Coral, Gala Bingo, Gala Casino and E-Commerce, accredited by GamCare. This accreditation recognises the Group’s efforts to operate ethically and its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Over the last 18 months, GamCare, a registered charity and the leading authority on responsible gambling, carried out visual checks and interviews with Gala Coral Group’s employees, to test the Group’s knowledge and practices in responsible gambling.
Although Gala Coral and Gala Bingo were previously accredited, the Gala Coral Group completed rigorous work with its E-Commerce division to ensure that all steps were taken to gain GamCare’s official endorsement, enabling the whole Group, including Gala TV, to receive accreditation.
Colin Morgan, Group CSR Manager for Gala Coral Group, said, “We have worked very hard to ensure our customers have help on hand to monitor their gambling should they need it. Our on-line pages now have optional limits for time and daily deposits that customers can use to self-monitor.
“As an ethical operator, GamCare’s accreditation is very important to us. It recognises our culture of corporate social responsibility, business philosophy and the way we work to ensure our customers’ experience is safe and enjoyable.”
