Gala Coral scoops prestigious eGaming award
Gala Coral is celebrating after winning one of the most recognised marketing honours in the betting industry, announced at the 2007 eGaming Review Industry Awards. Beating off fierce competition, Gala Coral triumphed in the ‘online marketing campaign of the year’ category with its groundbreaking game concept ‘KerChingo’.
Developed by the Gala Coral E Commerce team at Woking, KerChingo made history by producing the first ever bingo millionaire in July of this year. The game utilised Gala’s industry leading technology by running qualifying games online, on TV (Sky channel 841) and in club. A total of 15,000 people played in the final which was streamed online and televised live on Gala TV.
Launched in 2005, Galabingo.com is one of the most successful online bingo sites in the world. With 300,000 customers, the site has created a strong community, where over £15 million is won every week, with a winner every 10 seconds.
