Rob Templeman, Non-Executive Chairman

Rob has over two decades experience in the retail sector. Rob has been Chief Executive of Debenhams Retail Plc for nearly five years. Prior to the IPO in May 2006, he was Chief Executive of Debenhams Ltd having been appointed in December 2003.

Previous to this he was Chief Executive and subsequently Chairman of Halfords Group plc, Chief Executive Officer of Homebase Group plc and Chief Executive Officer of Harveys Furnishing plc.

Carl Leaver, Group Chief Executive

Carl has a broad range of experience in consumer-oriented industries. Before joining Gala Coral in November 2010, he was Director of International, Home and Direct for Marks & Spencer, where he restructured its operations internationally, doubling underlying profit over two years and positioning the business for significant further growth.

Prior to this Carl was Chief Executive Officer at DeVere Group PLC and delivered a total shareholder return of over 150 per cent - more than three times the average growth of the FTSE All-Share. Previously he worked for Whitbread where he held the position of Managing Director of Travel Inn. Under his leadership, Travel Inn added 5,000 rooms to become the UK’s largest hotel brand.

Before that Carl worked for Nomura International, following two years at Forte. He graduated in law from Nottingham University and started his career with Pedigree Petfoods (part of the Mars Group) as a business planner.

Paul Bowtell, Chief Financial Officer

Paul joined the Gala Coral Group in October 2011 as CFO. Prior to that he was CFO for TUI Travel plc and Finance Director of British Gas and before that Paul held a number of senior finance roles with WH Smith and Forte. Paul is a non-executive director of Capita Group and SThree plc and chairs the Audit Committees of both companies.

Andy Hornby, Coral Chief Executive

Andy brings a wealth of experience from working across a number of blue chip organisations.  He was previously Group Chief Executive of Alliance Boots. Prior to joining Alliance Boots, he was Group Chief Executive of HBOS until the takeover by Lloyds TSB Group. He has also held a range of roles at Asda, including Retail Managing Director and Managing Director of "George" clothing. He has a degree in English Literature from Oxford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he graduated top of his class of 800 students.

Barry Hardy, (Non-Executive)

Barry has extensive experience in the UK and International Casino industry. He started his career with Pleasurama which later merged with Mecca. In 1989 he joined London Clubs as Finance Director and later became Chief Operating Officer and Executive Deputy Chairman. Barry has been responsible for Casinos in France, Belgium, South Africa, Egypt, the Lebanon and Las Vegas. He also has extensive financial experience and is a Chartered Accountant.

Don Kornstein, (Non-Executive)

Don serves as the Managing Member of Alpine Advisors, a strategic, management and financial consulting firm. Previously he was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns where he headed the firm’s gaming industry investment banking practice. Don is also Chairman of Herbst Gaming, which is headquartered in Las Vegas, and he was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of Jackpot Enterprises, a New York Listed gaming company. Don is resident in Las Vegas, USA.

Wilf Walsh, (Non-Executive)

Wilf is Vice Chairman of Prague based Fortuna Entertainment Group, the leading sports betting and gaming business in Central Europe. He is also a strategic advisor on betting to British Horse Racing. Wilf was Managing Director of Coral from 2000 to 2007. A law graduate, Wilf is also a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development.

Charles (Chuck) Atwood, (Non-Executive)

Chuck retired, in December 2008, as Vice Chairman of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc, having been with the US-based gaming group for 30 years in a number of senior Finance and Development positions. He became Harrah’s CFO in 2001 and Vice Chairman in 2006. Chuck is also a Trustee for Equity Residential, a REIT listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He is also a Director Nominee for Reunion Hospitality Trust Inc, a company in the process of a public listing, and serves on the Board of the Las Vegas Performing Arts Center. Chuck has a degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Tulane University. During his time at Harrah’s Chuck was instrumental in the formation of the Gala Harrah’s JV to develop Regional Casinos in the UK. He is resident in Las Vegas, USA.
